Four Layers

One Platform, Four People, One Dataset.

Most mobility products serve exactly one of these and integrate badly with the rest. Bearings runs all four off the same coaching engine, which is what allows the programme layer to see root causes instead of ticket counts.

🧭
The assignee
Always-on coaching for every professional and daily-life situation, for the whole assignment — not two days before departure.
🏠
The partner & family
A separate track calibrated to daily life rather than corporate culture. The seat most programmes still do not fund, and where assignments quietly break.
👥
The host manager
The destination line manager who receives the assignee — and the rest of their already cross-cultural team. Included free with every assignee seat.
📊
The mobility team
Live population health, early warning, ROI reporting and destination intelligence — built from the coaching, not from a survey.

Assignee Capabilities

Coaching That Is Present at the Moment It Is Needed

Six capabilities, all built on the same underlying model of the person, their destination and their counterparts — so advice compounds across the assignment rather than restarting with every question.

Manager & Programme

Two Different Managers. Two Different Products.

The person who runs the programme and the person who runs the team are not the same job, do not need the same data, and should not share a view. Bearings treats them separately.

Seats

Who Gets What

Every population type runs on the same platform. What changes is the seat, not a stripped-down feature tier.

Why the Package Holds Together

The Coaching Pays for the Sensor. The Sensor Pays for the Programme.

Every capability on this page exists in some form somewhere in the market. What does not exist anywhere else is all of them running off one dataset that the assignee has a reason to keep feeding for twelve months. That is the whole argument, and it is why the confidentiality model is not a compliance footnote — it is load-bearing.

FAQ

Common Questions

Is the host manager seat really free?
Yes, bundled with every assignee seat. The portal only creates value if the manager actually opens it, and putting a line item in front of that is the surest way to guarantee they never do.
Do we have to buy the whole package?
The assignee coaching suite is the foundation and the programme intelligence layer is built from it, so those are sequential rather than optional. Partner seats, business traveller seats and domestic populations are all added by volume as it suits the programme.
How is this different from what our RMC already provides?
Your RMC manages the transaction — the move, the vendors, the tracking. Nothing in that chain is instrumented to see how the person is doing at week nine. Bearings is a different layer, and it works alongside your existing supply chain rather than replacing any of it.
What does implementation involve?
SSO and HRIS integration, then seats issued against your assignment population. Calendar coaching needs a one-time OAuth connection per user. Most programmes start with a single lane or cohort as a pilot before rolling wider.
Can we run a pilot?
Yes. No contract is required to run one, and the most common starting point is one destination lane or one cohort, measured against a comparable group.
Where can we see the full detail?
The pages linked throughout this one go into depth on each capability, and the demo covers all four layers live. For the data and confidentiality model specifically, start with the Data & Confidentiality page.
